cheerfully given . new project

Today marks the launch of Cheerfully Given, so what better way to celebrate than to delve into their branding and how it all came together.

When Menekse started talking about her amazing plans for her new business venture I couldn't help but be inspired. For her to then ask me to work on the branding and collateral for it I just had to say yes.

Cheerfully Given is a UK community of top Christian designers and makers selling through one fabulous online marketplace. So many amazing creatives all in one place, who wouldn't want to get involved?!

Right from the start we knew a bright spring colour palette and handwritten elements were the initial direction and that's when the magic happened.

The moodboard process was so much fun and instantly flowed, so we knew we were onto a winner from the start. A simple contemporary design with hand drawn elements to reflect the business and all the designers and makers that make it happen, was clear quite early on and shaped the initial logo concepts and continued through to the final design.

Gifting is a huge part of the business model and this is reflected not only in the main logo but throughout the sub-marks as well. Oh and who doesn't love a bit of confetti?!

Once we had nailed the branding, Menekse and I then collaborated on a number of other supporting branding materials including business cards, letterheads and social media imagery. This part of the process is so much fun as you have a great starting point from the initial branding process but then get the opportunity to push the creative even further. Such an exciting and rewarding part of the process.

I'm so unbelievably proud of Menekse and everything she's achieved so far and will achieve with Cheerfully Given. If you're nearby make sure you pop along to the launch event this evening. You can find all the details right here.
