Project Management

When you’re booked in my schedule, I’ll be using my project management tool Dubsado, which is a secure space online where we can have conversations, share files, set reminders and create to-do lists.

Whereas files often get lost when I’m managing projects through email, nothing gets lost or forgotten in Dubsado. It’s the simplest way to keep your project organised and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible!

Don’t worry, you won’t need to pay for this tool and it’s not hard to use. Click the video below to watch a 2 minute tutorial on how to use it!

Your Checklist

Here’s what I need from you before your project begins.

No. 1 Create a Pinterest Board

On Pinterest, create a fill a secret board with inspiration for your brand and/or website and invite me to it. You can find my account here. So that we have a great starting point I ask if you could pin the below first so that I get the right kind of examples in order to set me off in the right direction...

For branding projects

  • 5 x logo pins

  • 5 x colour palette pins

  • 5 x typefaces/typography pins

  • 5 x product photography pins

  • Anything else you're inspired by or feel fits your brand and what you aspire it to be.

  • 5 x pattern or print pins (optional)

  • 5 x illustration pins (optional)

For website projects

  • Screenshots of any competitor or fellow small business websites you love

  • Any other website or general layout ideas you love

  • If your struggling for inspiration feel free to use my website design Pinterest board as a starting point as there are lots of different styles on there that should give some great ideas

Whenever you're happy with your pins and think you've got to a good place, just let me know and I'll take a really good look through and then start adding a few more so I can fill in any gaps and also make sure I'm getting the right idea of what you do and don't like. Enjoy falling down the Pinterest rabbit hole!

No. 2 Fill out your Questionnaire

Your questionnaire helps me understand your goals and needs, and enables me to create something you’ll love! You can find this via the link in your client portal .

No. 3 Send your website content (if your package includes website design)

I need you to send your website copy & photography via WeTransfer to cat@twinpinescreative.com broken down by page at least 1 week before your project starts. Think about each page that will feature on your site and what copy and images you’d like to be added. Throughout the project we may find we need extra copy/images but having as much as possible upfront helps us keep on track and ensures that we keep to our schedule.

Feedback Guidelines

I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback. It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your project!

With that in mind, here are some tips to help you provide awesome feedback;

  • Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.

  • Use headers to organise your feedback into sections.

  • Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.

  • If you have team members that would like to provide their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organised!

Timelines

To help keep your project on track to finishing on time, please provide feedback on your designs within three business days or receiving them.

I really appreciate your effort to provide files and feedback on time! Timeliness from both of us will help us get your project done on (or even before) the deadline so you can move on to the next exciting task on your to-do list and I can cheer you on.

What happens now?

After you’ve completed everything on your checklist, we’re all set to begin your project and I’ll get in touch about 10 days before your start date to check if you have any last-minute questions that you might have.

Cannot wait to get started on your project!
